The preacher Billy Graham is admitted to hospital

The famous evangelist Billy Graham was hospitalized on Wednesday at a hospital near his home in North Carolina for treatment of lung, his spokesman said.

The spokesman A. Larry Ross said Graham was admitted to Mission Hospital in Asheville with congestion, cough and slight fever.

A pulmonary specialist hospital said in a press release that Graham is being reviewed for possible pneumonia. The statement said Graham was alert, smiling and waving to staff.

The pastor of 93 years of age has been an advisor to presidents and has traveled the world for its famous cross. He now spends most of her time at home near Asheville and occasionally meets with Christian leaders and old friends.

Graham was hospitalized in May for five days with pneumonia.
