Dos Santos vs Velasquez UFC on FOX

Dos Santos new heavyweight champ!. The Ultimate Fighting Championship has is a new heavyweight champion and his name is Junior Dos Santos. The Brazilians won against Cain Velasquez by knockout in the first round.

On the night went on Sunday in Anaheim, California the first Ultimate Fighting Championship on the U.S. cable TV channel Fox to end. In the main battle to put the Brazilian Junior Dos Santos by only 1:04 minutes after the first round by knockout against heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

Velasquez was from the beginning too passive and gave the impression of wanting to see the first fight inside. This, according to the expert analysis from former World Champion Brock Lesnar and UFC President Dana White was a huge mistake, knowing the impact of strong challengers to use immediately by itself.

The half-hearted manner in which the champion attempted a takedown, threw in many places on the question whether he had anything on that night lost in the Octagon.
Right hook to the ear

This impression was further fueled by rumors the last few days, that Velasquez had incurred an injury in training, which prevented him in the crucial two weeks before the fight to an effective workout.

Anyway - it turns out now that Dos Santos was also with a ligament tear in his knee in the fight.

After the failed takedown attempt met Dos Santos, the world champion with a right hook to the ear. Velasquez went down there and could not resist Schlagbarrage Juniors, so referee John McCarthy was forced to stop the fight.

Next opponent: Lesnar or Overeem?
It is unfortunate that many analysts have talked about it more after the fight that Velasquez lost the battle, and less about the excellent performance of the new world champion. Injuries in the struggle to prepare the agenda, and who nevertheless decides to get in the Octagon, it forfeits the right to make excuses afterwards that one had been injured.

Junior Dos Santos in the second quarter of 2012 to meet the winner of the elimination fight between former champion Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce title holder Alistair Overeem. The Dutchman Overeem gave his world championship title from a fight, to go to the UFC.

The one-hour live broadcast on Fox was so good 58 minutes pre-and post-coverage and advertising, and less than two minute fight. What the public thought of it, will show the audience, but the knockout was not spectacular, as you look at that as a lowbrow audience to a "wow" would be carried away.

The presentation was on a par with a Super Bowl broadcast, and thus excellent. For the international markets such as Germany, a second feed was produced, which waived the reporting framework, but presented two preliminary fights, including the fight of the night between Clay Guida and Ben Henderson.
One of the most exciting rounds of the UFC's history

This lightweight duel was to determine who on 26 February in Saitama, Japan, a title shot against world champion Frankie Edgar would get. The audience was - as might be expected - by the bank on Guidas page, but this could endanger the former champion of the WEC really not at any time. Henderson won the first round by superior Striking and two knockdowns at the start of the round.

The second round he was able to secure the judges' notes with a late rear-naked choke attempt. Both men then turned up again and showed one of the most exciting rounds of the UFC's history.

Guida got Henderson fight with one minute remaining time in a guillotine choke, these could not but hold to the end, nor compel Henderson to tap out. Henderson grabbing himself a unanimous points victory. If this fight was aired on Fox, the UFC now have two new superstars.
DaMarques Harvison switched off the lights
