Indian actress Aishwarya Rai gives birth to her first daughter in Bombay

The iconic actress of "Bollywood" Aishwarya Rai and her husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan, today became first time parents with the birth of his daughter in a private hospital in the Indian city of Bombay.

"It's a girl!" Wrote Bachchan, 35, in his account of the social network Twitter.

Hospital sources quoted by the agency IANS India claimed that Rai's birth was normal and that both families were present for the occasion, expected in recent days by major Indian media.

Aishwarya, a former Miss World 38 years and the first Indian actress who was part of the Cannes jury, began having labor pains early in the morning, and spent six hours in the hospital before giving birth.

The hospital, located in the suburb of Andheri bombaití had extreme security measures in the last three days, to avoid risk to the arrival of one of the most powerful couples in the film industry in India.

Abhishek Bachchan is the only son of the main reference interpretation of "Bollywood", Amitabh Bachchan, who in his own Twitter account today confirmed that it is "granddaddy of the cutest baby" after the birth of the granddaughter, the third of clan.

Aishwarya and Abhishek got married in April 2007 and the Indian media covered the details of the wedding as if it were a marriage of state, with a view to delivery, the Publishers' Association had issued a ten-point code of ethics.
